Timothy Houston
B.M., Music Performance, University of Nebraska-Omaha
Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, Tim began his music journey in elementary school like many in the Omaha Public School system. Tim started out playing on a 1937 King Silvertone Cornet, a gift from his uncle passed down from his grandfather, which Tim still owns and cherishes today!
Timothy Houston holds a degree in music performance from the University of Nebraska at Omaha (B.M. 2012) where he studied Trumpet under several outstanding instructors, including Dr. David Hunsicker and Jason Johnson. He has been an active educator assisting with various groups in the Omaha, Millard, and Elkhorn school systems, as well as some Catholic schools. Tim has been teaching private music lessons for 9 years.
Tim performs frequently in the Omaha area. He has played with groups such as The Rose Theater, The Omaha Community Playhouse, Ralston Community Theater, Omaha Symphonic Winds, 1st Nebraska Volunteer Brass Band, and the Nebraska Brass Band (NEBB). Tim also performs with several area high school musical productions each year.
