Theo Singer

My name is Theo Singer, I grew up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and went to college for music at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire. I started taking lessons on saxophone when I was a junior in high school because I wanted to get better at the instrument and learn how to improvise. 

I decided to go to school in Eau Claire because I attended one of their jazz festivals in high school and was blown away by the level those musicians were playing at. While there I studied classical saxophone with Dr. Alastair Wright and jazz saxophone with Dr. Aaron Hedenstrom. I played lead alto in the top jazz band, which lead to some incredible opportunities to play with musicians such as Donny McCaslin, Diane Schuur, Arturo O’Ferrill, James Morrison, Gunhild Carling, and others. Since graduating in 2023 I have moved out to Omaha and have met some wonderful musicians in the area.

I would love to work with anyone who has the drive to become better at their craft. Whether that is working on all-state material, playing in concert band or jazz band, learning to improvise, learning the fundamentals to their instrument or all of the above!
